    Pro Choice and Pro Life

    I have always been opposed to abortion. I’ve also been mostly opposed to abortion laws. I don’t think someone else has the right to decide delicate reproductive choices for others. However, I do feel that we need more education and compassion when dealing with such matters. A few days ago NY state passed a law that granted a woman permission to end the life of her unborn child at any stage of pregnancy, if the life of the child or mother was in danger.     Another Brick In the Wall

    I use to be a statist. I remember cheering for big government to push for more laws to make us safer after 9/11. Since then I have come to understand that the government is the biggest threat to our freedoms. I use to be a supporter for strong borders. I don’t anymore,  I’m the polar opposite. I support open borders. I see various arguments for a border wall. I disagree with most of them. Conservatives will say “well why don’t you just invite them into your home then” proving they have no understanding of private property rights vs public property.     I’m Offended That You’re Offended

    As a highly opinionated and outspoken person I am aware of the risks of offending people. It doesn’t really matter what you say or how you say it, if you challenge someone’s beliefs, they are likely to be offended. I have been an outspoken blogger for well over a decade. So the range of people I have offended is probably larger than most. And for the most part I’ve kept my opinions pretty tame, because I am aware people are easily offended.  I think the important thing to note is that a mature person will say “that comment or photo is offensive but I can move past that”.
