A Thrilling Day at the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee + Dodge Thrill Experience!

The Mecum Auction in Kissimmee isn’t just about buying a car—it’s about the experience.

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a classic car, muscle car, or high-end exotic vehicle, the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee, FL, is the place to be. The world’s largest collector car auction returns every January, bringing together thousands of car enthusiasts, collectors, and adrenaline junkies.

I recently had the chance to attend this iconic event, and let me tell you—it’s much more than just a car auction. It’s a spectacle and a true experience.

Let’s talk cars—because that’s what brings everyone here, right? From the moment I walked in, I was hit with rows upon rows of cars. There was over 4,500 cars! From vintage Mustangs and Corvettes to flashy Ferraris and the breathtaking sight of some of the rarest vehicles on the planet. Whether you’re a diehard car fanatic or just someone looking for a fun day out there is something so thrilling getting up close to these cars.

Watching the auction itself is a spectacle. This was my first time seeing an auction in person and I’m so amazed at how fast the auctioneer rambles off bids and numbers. Its truly such a skill and I could have sat there all day trying to make out what was actually being said. The best part? You never know who will walk away with the winning bid and watching the anticipation as the bids flow in is truly exciting.

In addition to the car auction, the event features plenty of other things to see and do. Vendors line the area, selling everything from car memorabilia to car-care products, and there are plenty of food trucks for when you need a break. Plus if you have littles ones they will love the Adventure Zone. The Adventure Zone has its own daily schedule of activities such as slot car racing, coloring contests and miniature car painting, junior auctioneer instruction sessions, and power wheel parades.

One of my favorite activities at Mecum was The Dodge Thrill Experience. If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing the power and raw energy of a Dodge muscle car then this is a must do. You get to ride shotgun with trained stunt drivers around a track truly feeling the power of Dodge. This was included in the price of admission to Mecum so no extra fee to experience this thrill. Please note riders must be 48 inches tall and up to take part of this experience.

Whether you’re a casual fan or a serious collector, the atmosphere was friendly, welcoming, and fun. It didn’t matter if you were there to bid or were just there for the experience—you could still appreciate the incredible cars and the energy that filled the air.
