Free Museum Days in Central Florida!

Spark your child's imagination like never before! The Museums on Us program, offered in Orlando and various U.S. cities, provides free admission to participating museums the first weekend of the month for Bank of America and Merrill Lynch customers. Other free admission days center on certain holidays (Mother's Day (for moms) and Father's Day (for dads), age groups (young children), and working groups (Florida educators or county employees). And some museums are FREE all year round! Learn more about when you can attend these free Central Florida museums and find the perfect spot to enhance your child's interests. 

Orlando Museum of Art

Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) introduces and educates people about the wonder and importance of art. Events and exhibitions seek to make people think about the world in new and exciting ways. OMA is part of Museums on Us and is free the first weekend of each month. Admission is always free for military, kids ages 5 and under, and museum members.

Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Garden 

Celebrating the acclaimed work of Czech sculptor Albin Polasek, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Garden welcomes visitors to view his art and home in Winter Park. The museum is a part of Museums on Us and is free the first weekend of each month. Admission is also free on Mother's Day (for mothers) and Father's Day (for fathers).

Mennello Museum of American Art  

The Mennello Museum of American Art preserves and exhibits a permanent collection of paintings by Earl Cunningham, as well as special exhibits and programs that celebrate other American artists. Every second Sunday of the month is Free Family Funday, including free admission all day, docent-led tours, and a fine arts project. The museum is part of Museums on Us and is free the first weekend of each month. Admission is always free for children under 6 and military.

Orange County Regional History Center

Explore Central Florida's rich history in downtown Orlando at Orange County Regional History Center. The museum is free every third Thursday of the month; it's free the first weekend of each month as part of Museum on Us. Admission is always free for children ages 4 and under, members of the military, Florida educators, and Orange County employees.

Orlando Science Center

Bring science to life at Orlando Science Center! Kids get to experience four floors of exhibits, labs, workshops, theaters, and hands-on activities. The museum is part of Museums on Us and is free the first weekend of each month. Admission is always free for children ages 2 and under.

Morse Museum of American Art

Check out the world's most comprehensive collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany's jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, and more. After 4pm on Friday nights, admission is free for everyone and sometimes includes various musicians to enhance the Morse experience. Admission is always free for children under age 12.

Museum of Art - Deland

Let the arts enhance your child's life and perspective of the world at the Museum of Art - Deland, with its thought-provoking permanent and visiting exhibits. Enjoy free admission for everyone during Family Fun Saturdays, happening one day each month (kids can take home art activity packs). Admission is always free for children 12 and under.

Leu Gardens

Leu Gardens shows kids and adults the beauty and wonder of the natural world. The outdoor sculpture garden is just one of many spots to witness amazing exhibits. Leu Gardens offer free daytime admission days during its annual Plant Sale Weekend (March 11-12), as well as February 6. Admission is always free for children ages 3 and under.

Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Central Florida

Turning darkness into light, Orlando's Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center seeks to "use history and lessons of the Holocaust to build a just and caring community free of antisemitism and all forms of prejudice and bigotry." Admission is always free.

Rollins Museum of Art

Part of Rollins College, this museum features collections and exhibitions displaying art and artifacts from ancient times, spanning to today's contemporary art. Admission is always free.

Central Florida Railroad Museum

If your kids love trains and the culture behind them, they will love visiting the Central Florida Railroad Museum, which celebrates the history of Central Florida's railroads. Highlights include a huge collection of dining car china and silver service, as well as photos, signs, charts, and the scale-model railroad. Admission is always free.

Winter Park History Museum

Learn about the history of Winter Park through the museum's educational exhibits, lecture series, and outreach programs. Admission is always free.

Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts

This museum offers gallery space for artists of African descent, and at each exhibition, artists, guest scholars, or curators present a gallery talk for deeper discussions. Admission is always free.

City of Sanford Museum

Show your Sanford pride and learn all about the city by visiting the Sanford Museum. The local history covers city planning and engineering, sports, art, and achievements of Sanford famous natives. Admission is always free.

Mead Garden

Located in Winter Park, Mead Garden offers 47 acres of stunning, lush landscapes for visitors. Families can explore hiking trails, the creek, ponds, a butterfly garden, and much more. Admission is always free.

Lake Mary Historical Museum

Head to Lake Mary and learn about the city's history through its artifacts, photos, and documents. Admission is always free.
