The hotel features two heated pools overlooking the beautiful Tampa skyline, poolside cabanas, FIVE dining areas, fitness center, and the Spa by JW®, which is a haven of relaxation with its spa lounge, 10 treatment suites, and even a plunge pool.
Now, let's talk about Beacon, the rooftop open to the public located on the 27th floor. It's not just Tampa’s highest rooftop, but the second highest in all of Florida! I stayed in the Superior King Corner Spa room on the 17th floor. It is a spacious room featuring an entryway foyer, plush king-size bed, floor to ceiling wrap around windows providing views of the river and the pool. But, the real reason you will want to book this room - the bathroom! An oversized freestanding tub that practically begs for a nightly bubble bath. The floor-to-ceiling windows carry into the bathroom giving it the most beautiful lighting.
What truly set JW Marriott apart for me were the thoughtful touches – a plush robe hanging in the closet, slippers neatly packaged by the shower, and a valet team that went above and beyond. I drive a Tesla, and without asking, they took the time to charge it. But the real surprise? My car came back sparkling clean – talk about VIP treatment!
Since I was in the mood for full-on pampering, I decided to stay in one morning and order room service. The convenience of the Marriott Bonvoy app made it a breeze. The food was not only delicious but presented with flair. Driftlight, the restaurant serving up this goodness, is a gem located on the first floor just past the lobby.
